I was impressed by the willingness of the Sigma staff to help find ways to [help]. Also, I much appreciated being able to ring them whenever I had a question. It was way better than my experience with another MTO I worked with before. Keep up the good work.

From talking to other [engineers] who had been in this industry for a while; Sigma didn’t necessarily have to do too much to stand out from other aviation training institutions – but yet they have gone above and beyond, and I think they have done every possible thing that makes an aviation training institution better. I spoke with someone who’s been in the industry for quite some time, and he said that Sigma reminded him what aviation used to be like.

Above and beyond. Before enrolling I spoke with Nick Booth who thoroughly explained everything I need to know, and the initial RPL process was so easy and done in a timely manner. After waiting 10 months for an initial assessment with another RTO, it was a relief when with Sigma it came in within a few days. Best part would be how fast the communication is with everyone. [The Team] all respond to any queries very quickly and accurately.

The material was clear and really helpful once I got into it. Thanks to Sigma for providing content that challenged me but also supported my learning. It was definitely challenging at times, but I managed to complete it and, in the process, refreshed and added to my knowledge in the industry. Overall, it was better than expected and a valuable learning journey for me. The support provided for the RPL process in this course was the best I’ve experienced. The guidance was clear, timely, and very helpful throughout. From email communication to instructions and assistance, everything was well-organised and made the process much smoother. Compared to other courses, the support here was vastly better.

Self-paced delivery has been the greatest benefit of online study. I consider my self quite studious at times, but often get bogged down with life. Being able to slot it in with my lifestyle made it significantly easier than what would had been in person learning at the other institutions. Must I say that the time other institutions take to communicate absolutely pales in comparison to the prompt and rapid replies of Sigma staff. I never had something take more than a few days from Sigma. Elsewhere, a week was the bare minimum for the time you would expect a reply.

Compared to [Other Training Providers] courses this was better by miles. This is because they don’t cram you with useless information that you have to remember. This was easier to understand. And was one of the best courses I’ve attended.

The 100% minimum pass mark requirement of the coursework meant that I had to be fully knowledgable on course being delivered. The competency conversation I had with Warren made me feel even more confident that I retained what I had learnt. The additional support provided in this course was vastly better than I’ve experienced before. The RPL guidance, practice quizzes, clear email communication, and exam instructions all made the process smooth and stress-free. I would absolutely recommend training with Sigma to my friends. The support, resources, and instruction were excellent and made the course a great experience.

Bruce taking calls well after work hours and replying to emails late at night was a true show of Sigma’s dedication to education and training in aviation. In the world of GA, it’s hard to find the time to spend an hour or two on the phone during work so after hour calls were greatly appreciated. One of the best parts of Sigma, they keep up. At the time of writing this, I probably would had still been waiting on my RPL report had I gone with my original plan.

The learning materials were clear, well-structured and highly practical. The organisation within the LMS, where each [unit and module] contained its relevant documentation in dedicated PDF format rather than being grouped into a single general resource section, significantly reduced research time and avoided unnecessary rework. This structure made the process more efficient, streamlined evidence preparation, and allowed me to focus on competency demonstration rather than document navigation.

Very good practice quizzes, and training materials were spot on; the online portal is very user friendly and makes everything so much better for students. Definitely I would recommend them. I only have good things to say about Sigma.

The instructor genuinely cared and was very engaged throughout the course. They explained concepts clearly, encouraged participation, and supported my learning. This training was better than expected and definitely one of the best I’ve [experienced]. The content was clear, the instructor was engaging, and the overall support made the experience very positive.

I would confidently recommend Sigma to colleagues and industry peers. What stood out most was the structured and modular organisation of the course. Each unit contained its own dedicated area for documentation submission, along with clearly defined competency expectations. This eliminated the need to navigate through multiple general resource folders or search across numerous PDFs to understand requirements. The precision of the task descriptions and document allocation significantly reduced ambiguity, streamlined preparation time, and minimised unnecessary rework. The overall structure reflected strong process design and respect for the candidate’s time.

Compared to [the other provider’s] exams, the Sigma Part 66 module exams are much clearer and straight to the point. When I studied with Sigma, I felt confident and not anxious. But with [the other provider’s] exams, even if I know I studied really well, I still felt confused about how to answer the questions, because [the other provider’s exams] don’t feel very clear, and I did not know where the questions came from.

The Sigma team was very helpful in the lead-up to my course. They provided clear instructions, answered my questions promptly, and made sure I had everything I needed to be prepared. I would say they were supportive and went above and beyond to make the process smooth. The learning material and its presentation were clear and really helpful. The content was well-structured, easy to follow, and covered everything I needed for the course.

Both instructors demonstrated professionalism and genuine engagement throughout the course. Geoff conducted the theoretical module assessments with clarity and structured feedback, ensuring alignment with competency standards. Warren led the practical competency conversation in a highly professional and technically rigorous manner, demonstrating strong industry knowledge while maintaining an approachable and supportive communication style. I felt genuinely supported and fairly assessed during both stages of the process.

I was wanting to go to university and after having completed my Cert IV, thought I would return to my original training provider to RPL into a Diploma so I could get additional transfer credits for my study. After contacting Sigma, they quickly replied, even well after work hours – Bruce and Nick from Sigma (who were extremely knowledgable). The course fee was extremely well priced and came with no surprise fees. While all companies need to make profit, I felt that Sigma had a genuine vested interest in my career development and that the course fee was just to “keep the lights on”. I never felt like another number, or cash-grab to wring dry.

Thank you for all your assistance throughout the course. I really appreciated all your help. This was my first virtual classroom course. I admit I was apprehensive about it, (me being old school) however that was totally unnecessary. The course was the best run out of any type I have ever undertaken. The instructors were the best ever.

Above & Beyond. I had a job pending a couple of [units I was missing] – I needed a custom MEA package, and Sigma delivered. [They] genuinely care & are subject-knowledgable. Puts the competition to shame, well done team! At last a practical, and non-money-centric approach. I’ve been an AME for 30 years and to be told your quals aren’t up to scratch in the likes of a 145 environment can be pretty demoralising. But with a combination of RPL, learning modules, and practical SOE, this situation has been sorted for me – thanks to Sigma.

Very Good. Simple, straightforward, and the portal is excellent. Booking the CASA exams, and dealing with [the Sigma Team] was a blessing. Sigma is the best RTO for licensing and training – unlike the other main options [that are available]. Excellent – a blessing that’s for sure! Thank you Sigma! Without you guys, I would still be struggling in the system to get licensed.

I found the Sigma content on the portal was most helpful as the information was clear and concise. Absolutely, I can’t recommend Sigma highly enough and always speak highly of Sigma to anyone. Everything has been so easy with Sigma and I honestly don’t think gaining the CASA license and Diploma would have been possible with [other] RTOs due to lengthy wait times on RPLs, confusing course material and exams.

I feel very confident and job-ready based on what I’ve learned in this course. The practical exercises, clear materials, and the guidance from the instructors has prepared me well for applying these skills in a real work environment.
