STAY CURRENT. STAY COMPLIANT.
To maintain a valid Part 66 licence, LAMEs must meet CASA’s recency requirements—six months of maintenance work in the last two years exercising the privileges of their licence. If you don’t meet this, your only options are to find work under supervision, be assessed by an AMO in accordance with their approved exposition or undergo a requalification course at a Part 147 MTO.
Rather than waiting for limited requalification courses to be offered at set times throughout the year, we have a continuing ‘on-demand’ course designed for immediate preparation for your next big job. Sigma’s program is built for working engineers. Our requalification process includes a structured pre-assessment via LMS, an in-depth technical interview with a LAME instructor, and a formal requalification report to take to your potential employer.
This ensures your knowledge is verified, your skills remain sharp, and you get back to signing maintenance releases as fast as possible—without gaps in compliance.
