This course includes requirements for the conversion of an EASA Part 66 licence to a CASA Part 66 licence through the straight recognition pathway. The specific requirements will be determined during the process based on the licence sought.

About the Course
Sigma Aerospace College EASA to CASA straight recognition courses are designed for aircraft engineers currently working in Australia who hold a current EASA Part 66 licence.
Theory training is delivered online via self-paced learning via Sigma’s Learning Management System.
Note that this leads only to an Australia Part 66 licence outcome and does not cover the requirements for an Aeroskills Qualifications (e.g. Certificate IV or Diploma of Aeroskills).
Before You Enrol:
This course covers the requirements to have your EASA Part 66 licence converted to an equivalent CASA part 66 licence. This course is only suitable for individuals who are already working in an aircraft maintenance environment and satisfy the following conditions:
- You must hold a current EASA Part 66 licence
- You must be working in a maintenance facility in Australia

Critical Notes:
- Students looking to accelerate the processing of their RPL report will need to pay in full upfront.
- Initial RPL report, career or training advice and guidance will only be released following payment of tuition fees in full.
Prior to commencement all students are required to review the Student Handbook & RPL Applicants Guide, and the complete set of policies related to your training at sigma.edu.au/policies
Course Details
This course does not include competencies from the MEA Aeroskills Training Packages (e.g. Certificate IV and Diploma of Aeroskills).
Note that this course does not lead to an aircraft engineer’s licence outcome directly. However, where possible, the units for your qualification will be chosen to articulate with a licence stream to reduce the outstanding requirements for a licence outcome at a later stage if this is sought.
Part 66 Examination Requirements
Specific examination requirements will be determined during the RPL process.
Credit will be applicable from EASA Part 66 examinations completed in accordance with EASA Part 147 requirements.
The RPL process will outline any examination gaps. These will depend primarily on the date of which the examination was completed and Commission Regulation in force at the time.
